A similar noir atmosphere, a slow pace of events and the dominance of criminal gangs. The visuals are characterized by an artistic take on architecture and characters.
They had the same course of action and the same vibe except this anime have a slow paced and a little bit bizarreness.
Both share broken people trying to survive; Neither show is really about heroes. They're about survivors. Both have the feel of decaying worlds ; the feeling that neither world is heading toward a happy future. Personally what resonated most was the connections between characters ; the loyalty despite the circumstances.
