So the fact that he comes back out of nowhere NOW while 2 world wide threats were going on prior makes no sense. Not sure what you’re talking about. Davis was in Tri, but was taken out. | What I'm more interested in now is that a trailer for this movie dropped with a recap of the 02 anime and it showed the ending the anime had with the pairings and children. This means that anime ending remains canon after all, I'd assume. I know a lot of people thought they would change the ending since they rebooted it all. That ending showed Kari with neither TK or Davis and man I was kind of hoping that would change. Or at least give me canon Izzy and Mimi >.> |

| @Lucifrost If it makes you feel any better, this movie does try new things. One of the biggest criticisms I've seen levied towards it is that it focuses primarily on a new character. Personally I loved it but your enjoyment will depend on how much you'd like a story driven Digimon movie with less action and more dialogue |

| @pumpkin_man I disagree I think its the best piece of digimon media weve gotten in more than 10 years. The story is great. It just doesnt have many digimon battles |
| In my eyes, Last Kizuna and the new beginning have two different goodbyes. I'm not sure if this takes place after Kizuna or not, but both versions have their own goodbyes, both are giving message that we all grew up and that maybe its time to say goodbye.. |

The 02 movie is after Last Kizuna actually. I prefer 02, I think it really reinforces the 02 epilogue and it makes the whole story make a lot more sense. Last Kizuna kinda tried to do its own thing by making a goodbye ending and thats not really how digimon adventure as a whole ended. |

| yes this is basically the ending of the digimon franchise's main story as a whole (digimon adventure) as a whole, the kizuna movie served as the conclusion to the digidestined from adventure, while this movie is the conclusion to the digidestined from adventure 2 and also to the main story in general |
